The Services of Mauritius Travel BV can only be used by Customers who have first familiarized themselves with these General Terms and Conditions in their entirety and who have accepted these terms without reservation. These general terms and conditions apply from July 1, 2006. This website is only offered to assist customers in gathering travel information, determining the availability of travel-related products and services, making legitimate reservations or transactions with the service providers, and for no other purposes. The terms "we", "us", "Mauritius Travel BV", "Mauritius Travel BV" refer to the Dutch private company and our subsidiaries. The term "you", "Customer", "client", "traveler" refers to the customer who uses this website and or who makes a reservation or requests a quote via this website, or via our call center. By using this website, you expressly agree to all the articles and conditions as described below. Please read the general terms and conditions carefully. If you do not accept any of the articles below, you should not use this website. Visit this page regularly to be aware of the most recent version of the general terms and conditions and user terms. Article 1. Definitions and scope
1.1. DefinitionsThe following definitions have the same meaning in singular or plural."Mauritius Travel" or "Mauritius Travel BV" means the private limited liability company Mauritius Travel BV, having its office at Lagunesingel 9, 6642 ER Beuningen, the Netherlands."Customer" or "You" means a Customer who visits the website and or who reserves, orders and / or purchases one or more of the Services offered on the Website, either through the website or via the Mauritius Travel BV call center."Service Provider" means an airline, hotel, car rental company, and insurance company."Website" means the website www.mauritiustravel.com, www.mauritiustravel.nl, www.mauritiustravel.de or www.mauritiustravel.be."Service" means a service offered on the Website, such as booking and quoting transportation services, accommodation services, car rental services, and package tours."General Terms and Conditions" means these general booking and usage conditions."Special Conditions" means the conditions applicable to the activities of the Service Providers with whom the Customer has separately agreed, also referred to as "rules and conditions" on the website.1.2. Mauritius Travel BV acts on behalf and in the name of various Service Providers, namely airlines, car rental companies, hotels, and insurance companies. These general booking and usage conditions apply to the offering and provision of the Services.The offering and provision of Services are also subject to the Special Conditions of the Service Providers. The Customer's acceptance of the Special Conditions takes place at the moment of actually placing an order.The General Terms and Conditions can be adjusted at any time without prior notice, although such adjustments do not apply to orders that have already been accepted by Mauritius Travel BV on behalf of the relevant Service Provider(s). It is therefore essential that the Customer reads the General Terms and Conditions at the moment of placing his/her order, in order to be aware of the provisions in force.

Article 2. Reservations and requests for quotes via the website
2.1. Legal competency of the customer. The Website assists the Customer in finding travel products and making the desired reservations, and mediates the transactions involved with the Service Providers. By using this website, the customer declares that the customer 1) is at least 18 years old, 2) is legally competent to enter into contractual obligations, 3) will use this Website in accordance with these Terms and Conditions and terms of use, 4) will only request quotes or make reservations for him or herself or for others for whom the customer is legally authorized to make reservations, 5) will only provide information that is correct, up to date, and complete.The Customer is financially liable for his/her activities on this Website, including possible use of his/her customer name and password. He/she guarantees that the information about him/her provided on the Website is correct, up to date, and complete.Any use of the Website that is fraudulent or in violation of these Terms and Conditions is grounds for denying the Customer's access to the Services offered by the Service Providers or to the other functionalities of the Website. In case of any use of the Website that may be fraudulent or in violation of these Terms and Conditions, Mauritius Travel BV reserves the right to cancel made reservations within 24 hours.2.2 Prohibited activitiesThe content and information on this website (including, but not limited to, rates and availability of travel services) as well as the infrastructure used to provide such content and information, are owned by Mauritius Travel BV, our service providers, and our partners.While you will make limited copies of your travel itinerary (or other related documents) for travels or services booked via this website, you agree not to modify, copy, distribute, transmit, display, perform, reproduce, publish, license, create derivative works from, transfer, or sell or resell any information, software, products, images, texts, codes, and services obtained from or through this website. Furthermore, you agree in no way to:Use this website or its content for commercial purposes, except for your own reservations.Make any fraudulent or false reservations.Monitor, copy, via a robot, spider, scraper, or any other automated means or manual process, the website or its content for any purpose without the written confirmation of Mauritius Travel BV.Violate the restrictions in the robot exclusion headers on this website or bypass any measure put up to give you limited access to this website.Perform actions which, in the opinion of Mauritius Travel BV, impose an unreasonable and disproportionate load on our infrastructure.Deep-link to our website, including any embedded reservation paths, without our express written consent."Frame", "mirror", or otherwise involve any portion of this website in another website without our written consent. 
2.3. Provider's Rules and Conditions and Restrictions. Separate rules and conditions will apply to the reservation and purchase of travel-related goods and services by the Customer. These rules and conditions of the airline, hotel, car rental company, and insurance company will be made available to you when you make your final reservation. If these separate rules and conditions are not available to the Customer, the Customer must take into account that flight ticket reservation and hotel reservation are not amendable and that cancellation costs amount to 100% of the total amount.You must read these rules and conditions very carefully. You declare to agree with these rules and conditions set by the respective airline and or hotel. You also declare to agree to, but not limited to, payment of all amounts applicable to your reservation. Please be aware that some hotels require you to sign their liability agreement at check-in or check-out. You accept that any violation of the service provider's rules and conditions could result in the cancellation of your reservation(s), refusal of access to the travel product, loss of already paid travel sums, and the possibility that Mauritius Travel BV may charge you for the costs Mauritius Travel BV incurs as a result of the aforementioned violation.

2.4 Reservations. The confirmation of the reservation, which summarizes the essential elements such as the description of the ordered Service(s) and the price, will be sent to the Customer by e-mail, post, or fax, no later than ten days after the reservation date. If the Customer has not received a confirmation email within 4 days of placing the order, he/she should contact the Customer Service department via the email address info@mauritiustravel.nlCancellations or requests for adjustment must be sent to info@mauritiustravel.nl. In the absence of separate conditions and rules, or specific provisions in these conditions and rules of the airline or hotel, a customer-initiated adjustment (change of departure or return date, travel schedules) or cancellation will result in 100% of the price being charged by Mauritius Travel BV.Refunds will not be granted without the prior consent of the relevant Service Provider. In the event a refund is granted to the Customer, the previously paid amounts will be refunded to the account number or credit card that was used for the order. Booking fees and any insurance policies taken out are not eligible for refund.If a ticket is reissued or a new reservation is placed following a cancellation or customer-initiated adjustment, the price of the new ticket or the new reservation may be higher than the price of the first ticket or the first reservation.Any delay that makes checking in impossible will not relieve the Customer of his financial obligations as described in these terms or in the separate terms and conditions of the airline, hotel, car rental company, or insurance company.
2.5. Notification and Obtaining of Travel Documents. The travel documents provided for a Service ordered via the Website are:• delivered to the email address indicated by the Customer at his/her reservation, or• if physical travel documents are provided, sent to the delivery address given by the Customer at his/her reservation.In the event that the delivery of tickets or travel vouchers is impossible due to an error by the Customer in entering his/her personal details, neither the involved Service Provider(s) nor Mauritius Travel BV will be liable.If, in the opinion of Mauritius Travel BV, it is not possible to deliver a physical ticket to the customer's address in time, Mauritius Travel BV reserves the right to cancel the reservation free of charge.  
2.6. Proof. It is expressly agreed that, except in the case of a serious failure on the part of Mauritius Travel BV or the Service Providers, the data stored in the information systems of Mauritius Travel BV and/or its Service Providers have probative value with regard to reservations placed by the Customer. Data stored on computers or electronic media constitute valid evidence, and as such will be admissible under the same conditions and with the same probative value as a physical written document.2.7 Prices on WebsiteThe customer acknowledges that the prices, travel schedules, and quotes displayed on the website may contain inaccuracies or incorrect rates. Mauritius Travel BV reserves the right to correct these errors and invoice the correct amounts to the customer, provided that the customer agrees to this. If the customer does not agree, then the travel, quote, or travel schedule will be cancelled free of charge.  

Article 3. Services
Mauritius Travel BV acts solely on behalf of and in the name of the Service Providers in relation to the offering and provision of all Services.The purpose of this article is to provide details about the Services of the Service Providers for the information of the Customer. These details are not exhaustive and do not replace the separate rules and conditions of the Service Providers.Except in the case of legal provisions prescribing otherwise, these details cannot lead to any binding or liability on the part of Mauritius Travel BV.

3.1.1. Air Transport Conditions
Air transport is subject to the rules and conditions of the Service Providing airline.It is the Customer's responsibility to comply with the instructions of the airlines, particularly in relation to check-in times. It is advised to be present at least three hours before the departure of international flights and at least two hours before the departure of European or domestic flights. The Customer is alerted to the necessity to allow sufficient time, and to take into account potential delays for journeys involving a connection, particularly when this includes a transfer to another airport.For return flights, regardless of the type of flight, it is often mandatory to reconfirm the return flight with the airline no later than 72 hours before the intended date of the flight. It is the Customer's responsibility to reconfirm his/her return flight, if this is required. The relevant company can indicate whether reconfirmation is necessary. For open return tickets, it is advised to book the return flight as early as possible.The Customer is reminded that if he/she books a return flight and does not use the outbound flight, the airline cancels the entire ticket including the return flight.Flight details, including types of aircraft, departure and arrival times, and flight numbers may be subject to change, even after the Customer's receipt of the travel confirmation.The Customer is reminded that airlines sometimes refuse pregnant women when, in their judgement, the advanced stage of pregnancy poses a risk of premature childbirth during the flight.Children under 2 years of age are not assigned their own seat on the plane unless the parents wish to pay for a completely separate seat. This provision only applies on condition that the children are under 2 years of age for the entire duration of the trip, both on the departure date and on the return date. Airlines stipulate that children who are older than 2 on the return date should have a return ticket at the child rate. Costs incurred as a result of the Customer not adhering to this rule are not eligible for refund and are the Customer's responsibility.Children who are 11 years old on the departure day and 12 years old on the return date, should book an adult ticket.Children under 16 years of age are not transported unaccompanied. Children aged 14 or older should carry their own identity document.
3.1.2. Administrative Regulations and/or Health Regulations.
It is the Customer's responsibility to inform themselves about these regulations, comply with them, and pay the associated costs.The Customer is reminded that most countries stipulate that a passport should be valid for more than 6 months after the return date.The Customer should inform themselves about any potential regulations regarding police, customs, and health for their trip, such as passport, national identity card, parental consent, visas, medical declarations, vaccination certificates, etc. The formalities mentioned on the Website are intended for Dutch citizens, and the information is provided merely as an indication.Furthermore, changes may occur between the information listed on the Website and the information at the time of departure. Mauritius Travel BV will not inform a customer about changes in the required regulations.Special formalities may also apply to minors. It is therefore the Customer's responsibility to consult the consulates and embassies of the countries being visited or transited through in advance of their departure in order to inform themselves about any administrative or medical formalities that need to be completed.The possible consequences of the Customer's non-compliance with administrative and medical regulations, such as not being able to depart on the indicated date, are solely the responsibility of the Customer.
3.1.3. Liability.
The Customer is reminded that the liability of airlines for death, personal injury, and other damage is normally limited by national law or by an international Convention for air transport, or by the airline's own rules and conditions. These conditions can be obtained from the airline.

3.2 Hotel Classification.
The indication of the comfort level assigned to hotels in the descriptions on the Website corresponds to a classification based on local standards in the country of residence, which can therefore differ from Dutch standards. Mauritius Travel BV is not liable for any incorrect hotel classification. This classification is provided merely as an indication. It may happen that, due to technical reasons, force majeure or the intervention of a third party, the originally booked hotel is replaced by a hotel of the same category offering similar services.
3.3. Insurances.
Insurances are not included in the prices mentioned on the Website for the flights and hotels. Consequently, the Customer is advised to take out insurance that covers the consequences of certain cases of cancellation and an additional policy that provides coverage for certain special risks such as repatriation costs in the event of an accident or illness. The risks covered by these policies, as well as the costs and coverage amount, are only provided as an indication on the Website. In the event that an insurance policy is taken out, the insurer sends the policy to the Customer. Claims should be submitted directly to the insurance company in accordance with the policy conditions.PaymentsAfter confirmation, Mauritius Travel BV sends the customer an invoice and travel confirmation, detailing all aspects of the trip and the elements that the customer has reserved. This invoice states the payment terms of the booked reservation.


Article 5. Exchange RatesExchange rates are calculated based on various public sources and are provided as a guide only, as they can vary from day to day and are not updated daily. The accuracy of the indicated exchange rates is not guaranteed. Use of these exchange rates for purposes other than personal use is prohibited.Article 6. DisclaimerTHE INFORMATION, SOFTWARE, PRODUCTS, AND SERVICES PUBLISHED ON THIS WEBSITE MAY CONTAIN IMPERFECTIONS OR ERRORS, INCLUDING PRICING ERRORS. If at any time the Mauritius Travel BV Companies do not invoke any of the provisions of the General Conditions, this should not be interpreted as a waiver of the right to invoke any of these provisions at a later time.In the event that any of the provisions of the General Conditions are declared void, the provision in question shall be deemed not written, without affecting the validity of the other provisions, unless the provision declared void is essential and determining.Any force majeure event, including the interruption of means of communication or a strike by transporters, hoteliers, or air traffic controllers, will lead to the suspension of the obligations in these terms that are affected by the force majeure event and exonerates the party that had to comply with the obligation affected by the force majeure event.You agree to indemnify and hold harmless the Mauritius Travel BV Companies, the Mauritius Travel BV Affiliates, and/or the Mauritius Travel BV service providers, its employees, directors, and agents from and against any claims, causes of action, demands, losses, damages, fines, penalties or other costs or expenses of any kind or nature including but not limited to reasonable legal and accounting fees, brought by third parties as a result of: (a) your breach of this agreement or the documents referenced herein, (b) your violation of any law or the rights of a third party, or (c) your use of this website.
Article 7. Payments.
The customer realizes that if the Mauritius Travel BV invoice is not paid according to the payment terms as stated on the invoice by the customer, the trip can be cancelled by Mauritius Travel BV, the airline or the hotel.
Article 8. Applicable law.
This website is operated by a Dutch legal entity. These Terms and Conditions are governed by Dutch law. The court in Arnhem, the Netherlands, has jurisdiction to judge any dispute arising from the interpretation and/or execution thereof.The use of this website is not permitted in jurisdictions that do not give effect to all provisions of this agreement, including, without limitation, this article. You agree that there is no joint venture, partnership, or employer/employee relationship between you and the Mauritius Travel BV Companies as a result of this agreement or the use of this website. Our performance of this agreement is subject to existing laws, and nothing in this agreement limits our right to comply with law enforcement or other governmental or legal requests or requirements relating to your use of this website.To the extent that applicable law permits, you agree that you will submit any claim arising from the use or access to this website within six months of the occurrence of such damage to Mauritius Travel BV. You agree that you will not file a claim more than six months after the claim has arisen.This agreement constitutes the entire agreement between You and Mauritius Travel BV in relation to this website and supersedes all other prior representations or promises, whether written or oral, made by Mauritius Travel BV to You.

Article 9. Software / Terms of Use.
The information, software, products and services offered on www.Mauritius Travel BV may contain inaccuracies or typographical errors. Mauritius Travel BV can make improvements and/or changes to the information on www.Mauritius Travel BV at any time and does so regularly.
